COMMUNITY ALERT: Neo-Nazi Facebook page using Huron County’s name

In July 2026, No Hate in Huron spotted a newly created Facebook page that displays Nazi symbols and uses our county’s name, with an image of the Goderich lighthouse on its banner. The branding of the Facebook page closely resembles that of Second Sons Canada, reported by the CBC to be the country’s most prominent white supremacist group. The Facebook page contains racist, antisemitic, anti-Indigenous, and homophobic content alongside Holocaust denial. The bio of the page features a quotation attributed to George Lincoln Rockwell, founder of the American Nazi Party, promoting “deadly hatred.” For documentation purposes, we are sharing a screenshot of the Facebook page banner here with the name of the page partially redacted.

No Hate in Huron alerted local authorities upon discovering this Facebook page, notified the public through our social media channels, and encouraged local venues to be vigilant around bookings. We are not linking to the page. We strongly advise against anyone engaging with it. We reported the page to Facebook and received a reply stating that the page doesn’t go against its Community Standards. Neo-Nazism certainly goes against our community standards. If you come across the page, report it to Facebook and let us know using our contact form.

Second Sons Canada has been linked to the “active club” movement, the same movement that gathered in Goderich in August 2024. Second Sons Canada is the same group that recently gathered at Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc, just east of Kamloops, to intimidate local residents and promote the profoundly cruel and hateful ideology of residential school denialism. According to a recent Public Safety Canada report, the growing white nationalist active club movement poses a risk for “extreme violence” in Canada.

2026 Municipal Candidates Survey

We asked the municipal candidates in Huron County a single question:

“If elected, how would you help your municipality and the wider Huron County community address discrimination and organized hate, including white-supremacist, white-nationalist, and neo-Nazi activity?“

—

Days waiting (and counting) for any elected official within Huron County to issue a statement explicitly and unequivocally denouncing neo-Nazi and white supremacist ideology.

But silence is not the whole story. Several extraordinary Huron County organizations have taken a clear, brave, principled stand. See who is standing together in solidarity.

Our Origins

No Hate in Huron emerged in response to the appearance of white supremacist propaganda at the northern entrance of Goderich in August 2024. That same month, neo-Nazis and white supremacists held a meet-up in Goderich. They gathered from across Ontario, Quebec, and Michigan and held combat training exercises at the local high school track. They plastered our boardwalk with recruitment stickers for white supremacist fight clubs.

We chose love. We chose joy. We chose resistance.

As a 100% grassroots, volunteer-driven, community-funded network of care, we have led the resistance ever since. On October 1, 2025, No Hate in Huron: Love Lives Here Network became a federally incorporated non-profit. We are proud to continue serving our communities as we celebrate diversity, inclusion, compassion, and courage.

Our Purpose

We actively resist white supremacy, neo-Nazism, and white nationalism in Huron County, Ontario while holding accountable those who perpetrate, enable, appease, or silently condone these ideologies. We work to heal the wounds caused by hate. We unite, affirm, and strengthen our communities through shared joy, laughter, justice, care, imagination, expression, contemplation, listening, compassion, friendship, courage, nonviolence, and, above all, love. We strive for a world united through peace and liberated from hate so that all people may pursue joyous lives, free from harassment, cruelty, and violence.

Lands and Waters Acknowledgement

We acknowledge that we live and organize on the traditional lands and waters of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Attawandaron (Neutral) peoples. These lands and waters are covered by treaties dishonoured by settler governments, and by living relationships that we, as settlers, must work to repair.

With the exception of Indigenous Peoples, we are all immigrants or descendants of immigrants, some who came seeking refuge, others by force, and many through colonial entitlement.

We recognize the central role white supremacist ideologies have played in causing immeasurable and ongoing harm across Turtle Island, particularly in the lives of Indigenous peoples and communities.

We commit to walking the paths of Reconciliation, to respecting the original caretakers of these shared lands and waters, and to celebrating the cultures, traditions, wisdom, and living brilliance of Indigenous Peoples: past, present, and future.

Our Vision

We believe in the inherent dignity of every person. We strive for a world in which all people—regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, income, ability, neurodiversity, mental health, chronic illness, substance use, immigration or citizenship status, housing or education status, family structure, or background—are free to pursue joyous lives without fear of harassment, cruelty, or violence.
